HA! Sooo… It’s been over 60 days since my last post! I have had so many people contact me during that time asking “What’s up with the blog?, Where did you go?, Etc.” So I’ve decided to get back to it!   I can’t wait to let you know what’s happened in the last two months!

I am excited to announce that our team of agents at Keller Williams will now be  representing the incredible new development in Cleveland, Tennessee known as Spring Creek!

Visit the website at www.SpringCreekInfo.com for information, details, photo’s and visual tours of the homes!

Agents are on site 7 days a week from 11am – 7pm beginning Friday March 27th!

On a personal note, I joined Spectrum Fitness this week (personal trainers). After starting at Keller Williams I was immediately started on a coaching program (MAPS Coaching)  for my new job and I have accountability with my Operating Partner Steve Black every Monday. I have realized that Structure + Discipline + Accountability + Sheer Determination = Unstopable (that’s me!) Having realized this in my professional life I now want to carry it over to my personal life. I’ve set into motion the needed steps to get an appointment with an endocrinologist for my diabetes. It’s been over four years since I’ve seen a specialist for  diabetes. Thanks to my wife and through the blessing of insurance from her job, I  now have that opportunity again.  Also, by joining Spectrum I’m hoping to become more disciplined in my workouts which will of course help with the management of my Type 1 Diabetes.   for more information on the fight against Juvenile Diabetes please visit www.JDRF.org!

So there’s just a QUICK update… I’ll post more later!

It’s been several days since I’ve posted anything.. and there’s a good reason, things have been insane!   So, here’s what’s been going on:

On Wednesday I had a great Birthday. Sarah Beth cooked an amazing dinner for me… she’s the best. I had an overwhelming amount of birthday wishes.. (thanks everyone!). Here is the best story from my birthday. Some agents/staff at the office wanted to bring in a dessert for me. So Julie our Market Center Administrator calls my mom from the office of Rhonda McClure and Victoria Tilley. They are listening in as Julie finds out what my likes/dislikes are.   She confirms by saying “ok carrot cake” that my mom just told her that the only thing I really don’t care for is carrot cake.   Rhonda and Victoria didn’t realize that it’s what my mom said I don’t really like.   After hanging up Julie simply says “there isn’t really anything he doesn’t like.” Sooo Rhonda and Victoria make a huge effort to bake me some “no sugar added, health food store cupcakes.” On my birthday I’m coaching and consulting with an agent and the “baking duo” comes up to the window with a plate full of brownies, chicken nuggets from the fil-a, and a plate full of cupcakes with candles in them!   After I finish my appointment I rush to the break room to see what goodies have been delivered.   As I walk in and we’re talking Rhonda and Victoria say “the cupcakes are special for you, your mom said you really like carrot cake. So, we went to the health food store and found some no sugar added ingredients and we made this cream cheese frosting!” I was so grateful and confused as to why my mom would ever tell anyone that carrot cake was my favorite. I thought she must really be losing her mind. I eat the carrot cake cupcake (which was amazing btw, no joke!) Later, Julie swings in to ask Rhonda and Victoria what they brought. As they explain what they brought Julie busts out laughing realizing the scew up… when they overheard “ok carrot cake” they assumed that I liked carrot cake. After the phone conversation Julie not thinking anything about it just repeated “theres not really anything he doesn’t like.” And thus Nathan received his favorite Carrot Cake Cupcakes on his birthday! Everyone was great, they really made my birthday a good one… it was a fun day at the office.

I also had several appointments on Wednesday and Thursday.   We had a great meeting with our attorney’s and a possible new agent on Thursday! We also have the ball rolling for some other exciting things in the Cleveland, TN Keller Williams Market Center! I can’t wait to roll out our February emphasis “SHIFT Revolution: It’s Gonna Be Alright!” Since the first of the year we have really experienced a slight UP-SHIFT in our market. Showings seem to be on the rise, more offers are being written and it appears that we’ve had several homes go under contract!   Stay tuned to the blog, in the next few days I will be posting some graphs that compare 2007 and 2008 Statistics relating to real estate trends in Bradley County and Cleveland.

POWER HOUR PROVES TO BE SUCCESSFUL!

So, I’ve been trying to convince the agents in our Market Center that Lead Generation is so important.   No matter if you’re a Doctor, Lawyer, Plumber, etc. Before anything you are a LEAD GENERATOR. Anyone in business must generate business to STAY in business.   So many agents are experiencing a tough time in real estate, and times are different & I admit it is harder. But, I have to question how many people are intentionally spending time EVERYDAY or even WEEKLY for that matter on generating leads?!

I challenged our agents to join me for the POWER HOUR CHALLENGE today. Two agents showed up. Some people may have been discouraged, but I was inspired.   I couldn’t wait to see what the three of us could accomplish in ONE HOUR…. Tamara Brown, Patti Gates and myself got down to business and started to create it! Here’s what we accomplished in ONE HOUR:

51 Calls(numbers dialed)  - 28 Contacts Made(actually spoke with someone)  - 8 appointments set (this week!) – 9 other leads to follow up with!

Tomorrow  is a packed day… I  will be presenting our company’s proposal for a HUGE development in Cleveland, Tennessee at 9am. My life over the next three days is CRAZY! I turn 26, teach a class on internet marketing, a class on working with buyers, I have 3 hours of coaching and consulting appointments with my agents, I have 8 hours of professional standards training  with the River Counties Association of Realtors Board of Directors, and I have  6 appointments with agents from other companies in town to discuss business! PRODUCTIVITY… It’s all about being productive!

Make it a great day EVERYDAY for the remainder of the week! – Nathan

This morning Sarah Beth and I visited Grace Point Church in Cleveland, TN.   It was really a great service.   We came in at the last minute, sat towards the back, and hit the back door as soon as the service was over. COMPLETELY opposite of how Sunday mornings usually go for us.   I really enjoyed worship, it was very refreshing.   Afterwards we hit up the new KFC on Keith Street in Cleveland, I feel much better about eating there now that it’s completely rebuilt.   Honestly the old one scared the heck out of me it was so nasty!

Afterwards it was back to work.   I am finishing up the final proposal for the builders and developers of the new community coming to the Cleveland, TN area!   I can’t wait to share it with you on here.   I am hoping that after this proposal is complete I won’t have to work so many hours in the evenings for the next few weeks.

Tonight, we were back at North Cleveland with the family. Grant came in from UTK and Morgan was at church also. It was good to see them this week.   Dr. Jay did a good job.   Afterwards Nolan and Cara met up with all of us at Moes.   Also, today I was able to catch up with the Trowbridges and the Garners… they’re good people! No matter what anyone else says…

Hopefully this week I will be able to post some things a little more interesting!   Thanks for reading and until next time…. Goodnight!

Work-a-holic… no, I wouldn’t go that far! Although Sarah Beth and I look forward to our weekends, recently we have found ourselves working through the weekend.   Home Retention Assignments have kept me busy the past month and a half.   I’ve spent about 4 hours each on Saturday and Sundays helping homeowners avoid foreclosure.

Today I had two assignments in Dayton, TN. I finally got back down from the insanely foggy and misty mountain at about 5:45pm.   We had dinner with the brother and sister in-law (Nolan and Cara). Outback always hits the spot! Earlier today we took Miranda Calfee to lunch and had a great time.   Ahhh… well another Saturday with the Brown’s, now its relax time with some of our fav family members and some King Of The Hill!

Oh, yeah… if you know anyone who is struggling to keep their home in the Cleveland and Chattanooga metro area, have them contact me. I work closely with banks such as Chase, Saxon Mortgage, Litton, Countrywide, etc. It’s very likely I can help homeowners obtain a loan modification thus allowing them to stay in the home, OR I can buy time to allow us to get the home SOLD (helping the owner by avoiding foreclosure!)

Until next time…

I am finally giving in! I’m attempting to BLOG on a regular basis about what’s going on with my life and my life in real estate. I feel like today was productive. I started to get my office cleaned up and I started working on our new recruiting packet.

On Saturday Sarah Beth and I are taking our friend Miranda Calfee out to lunch, we’re looking forward to it! Afterwards I think both of us are going to work… it stinks but I guess that’s life sometimes!   I know I definitely have to get a presentation finished up for a huge development in the Cleveland area. (More to come on that later!)

Until next time…. GOODNIGHT!
